Cookie Notice

What this site uses for browser storage and analytics choices.

MichaelPC keeps the public site intentionally narrow: essential storage and security services support the website and quotation flow, while optional Google Analytics is held behind a visitor consent choice.

1. Essential services stay on by default

This site uses essential technologies to display pages, deliver assets, protect the quotation flow, process requests, run Google reCAPTCHA as an essential anti-spam check, and remember a visitor’s cookie preference. Those essential functions do not depend on optional analytics.

2. Optional analytics needs a real choice

Google Analytics is treated as optional on this site. It should not load before the visitor chooses to accept it. Choosing “Keep essential only” stores that preference and leaves analytics disabled. Choosing “Accept analytics” stores that preference and allows the GA4 measurement script to load for later page use in that browser.

3. Cookie settings

Current browser choice: No choice stored yet.

You can keep the site on essential-only operation or enable optional analytics for this browser.

4. What Google Analytics is used for

If analytics is accepted, GA4 can measure page views and broad site-use patterns so MichaelPC can understand which public pages are being found and used. It is not used here for advertising, remarketing, or behavioural marketing.

5. Storage and access inventory

Name Purpose Type Duration Provider Essential status
HTTP asset caching Lets the browser reuse site assets such as CSS, JavaScript, images, and favicon files between page loads. Browser cache Browser-managed Visitor browser Essential
michaelpc_cookie_preferences_v1 Stores whether the visitor kept essential-only mode or accepted optional analytics so the site can respect that choice on later page loads. Web storage Until the visitor clears site storage Visitor browser Essential
Google Analytics identifiers Measure page views and broad site-use patterns only after a visitor accepts optional analytics. Analytics cookies or storage Google-managed after analytics consent Google Analytics Optional after consent
Google reCAPTCHA challenge state Helps distinguish real visitors from automated spam on the contact form and can involve Google-managed cookies, storage, or challenge state on the contact page. Third-party anti-spam storage Google-managed Google reCAPTCHA Essential security
sessionStorage No sessionStorage values are intentionally written by the current public pages for analytics or the quotation flow. Web storage Not used in the public build None Not used
IndexedDB and marketing trackers No IndexedDB records, advertising pixels, behavioural marketing tools beyond the consent-gated GA4 setup, or third-party chat widgets are intentionally loaded in the current public build. Database or tracking surface Not used in the public build None Not used

6. If the site changes later

If future versions add advertising pixels, embedded media, external scheduling tools, broader third-party chat widgets, or any other non-essential storage or access technology beyond the current GA4 setup, MichaelPC will need to review whether the consent model, settings controls, or this notice need to change before that release is published.

7. Questions or objections

Questions about this notice or future storage changes should be sent through the contact form. Mention that the request is about the Cookie Notice so the message is reviewed in the right context. If the storage posture changes in a later release, the notice and any required settings route should change with it.
